Stageskool now offers Musical Theatre LAMDA classes. Students follow a syllabus for a specific grade (dependant on age and experience) which will then enable them to take the exam for that grade.
You do not have to be a member of Stageskool to take part in the Musical Theatre LAMDA classes; they are open to all that have a love and passion for performing.
LAMDA exams are about achievement – recognising and rewarding the endeavours of each individual and also about empowerment. LAMDA’s ultimate aim is to provide all people with the opportunity to develop the life skills they need to be a success: attributes such as self-confidence and the ability to communicate clearly and present ideas.
LAMDA examinations in Musical Theatre help students to develop their acting and singing skills. They encourage empathy and self-awareness as learners are required to present believable characters through both acting and song. All students of any ability can take part in the classes. Please contact us for more details.
Current students of Stageskool will be given the opportunity to take group Musical Theatre exams.
Students will have already worked on scenes for productions and these can be reproduced for the exams.
LAMDA has also been recognised as an awarding organisation by Ofqual, the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulations in England and LAMDA’s Level 3 recognised qualifications are included in the current UCAS Tariff. This means, once successfully gaining a level 3 qualification the points awarded for that grade can be put towards entry into university.
