Welcome

Kim Weir B.A. (Hons) Education
Owner and CEO

Having performed myself in my younger years and even now as part of an amateur dramatics group I know how performing is both exciting and intoxicating. It’s always a challenge when I take on a new role, but it reminds me just how much I love performing and why I created Stageskool Theatre Arts.

Before I started Stageskool, I worked as a Teacher and NVQ Assessor teaching Dance and Performing Arts at sixth form and further education colleges and, Health & Social Care and Childcare up to degree level. I also worked with young offenders and pupils that had been excluded from school and I have seen throughout my teaching how generic life skills gained by practicing the performing arts can be life changing; building self-esteem, increasing confidence, learning how to work in a team and at the same time building friendships and memories.

With the help of my amazingly talented, fresh, passionate teachers I am very fortunate to be able to share my love of the arts and to encourage, nurture and inspire young people to love the arts too. So, I hope you will join us as we continue to grow as a dynamic independent theatre school.
