Theatre School for 9 – 18 Year Olds
“Performing, gaining confidence and developing stage craft”
Acting: Students engage in advanced acting techniques, including scene study, monologues, and script analysis. They explore different acting styles and methods, and learn to approach roles with depth and authenticity. This stage emphasizes both individual skill development and ensemble work, preparing students for more complex performances.
Singing: Vocal training becomes more specialized, with a focus on expanding vocal range, mastering different genres, and honing performance skills. Students work on solo and ensemble pieces, learning to connect emotionally with the music and convey stories through song.
Dance: Upper school students have the opportunity to study various dance disciplines in greater detail, from classical to contemporary styles. They focus on technique, choreography, and performance quality, with an emphasis on expression and storytelling through movement.
Regular stage performances, and participation in community events, provide students with invaluable experience in front of live audiences. These opportunities allow them to apply what they’ve learned, gain confidence, and develop a professional attitude towards their craft.
