Qualifications in communication and performance to inspire the next generation of confident communicators

You don’t have to be a member of our theatre school to take part in the Musical Theatre LAMDA classes; they are open to anyone that has a love and a passion for performing.

LAMDA On-Line

Study for LAMDA On-line via ZOOM

We have been teaching LAMDA classes very successfully via ZOOM for the past year and we intend to continue to offer On-line classes.

LAMDA is one of the UK’s oldest and most respected awarding organisations, offering practical examinations in communication and performance subjects for over 130 years. Their exams are about achievement – recognising and rewarding the endeavours of each individual and also about empowerment. LAMDA’s ultimate aim is to provide people with the opportunity to develop the life skills they need to be a success: attributes such as self-confidence and the ability to communicate clearly and present ideas.

LAMDA examinations in Musical Theatre help students to develop their acting and singing skills. They encourage empathy and self-awareness as learners are required to present believable characters through both acting and song. Students of any ability can take part in the classes. LAMDA has also been recognised as an awarding organisation by Ofqual, the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulations in England and LAMDA’s Level 3 recognised qualifications are included in the current UCAS Tariff. This means, once successfully gaining a level 3 qualification the points awarded for that grade can be put towards entry into university.

Stageskool’s Drama and Musical Theatre LAMDA classes follow the syllabus for specific grades (dependant on age and experience) which will enable students to take the exam for that grade. Students of Stageskool have the opportunity to take group Musical Theatre exams – They will have already worked on scenes for productions and these can be reproduced for the exams.
